I just heard that Mexican low-cost carrier VOLARIS AIRLINES is launching service from Uruapan in Michoacán state to Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesdays beginning October 2. Volaris has become Mexico’s second largest airline since Mexicana ceased operations and Uruapan will become Volaris Airlines seventh Mexican destination served from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Weekly flights will depart from LAX each Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. and arrive at Uruapan’s Lic. Y Gen. Ignacio Lpez Rayon National Airport (UPN) at 5:25 p.m., local time. Return flights leave UP at 6:15 p.m. arriving at LAX at 7:50 p.m. local time.
VOLARIS AIRLINES will also offer domestic connections to Cancun, Monterrey and La Paz for passengers from Los Angeles.
