Mar de Jade is a Wellness & Vacation retreat center nestled between the tropical jungle and the Chacala’s. Chacala is a hidden treasure – a peaceful fishing village and a perfect setting for a relaxing, supportive, inspirational vacation.

Mar de Jade has 12 rooms and 15 suites with garden sitting areas that have fabulous ocean views. Cantera rock, clay tiles, hand-painted mosaics and tropical mahogany woods blend into the surrounding jungle.

At the edge of the ocean is a full-sized swimming pool, wading pool, large Jacuzzi, and lounge areas surrounded by exotic flora and fauna – an ideal setting for sunbathing during the warm day and stargazing at night.

Meals are prepared 3 times a day with fresh local products, most are grown on the property. Carefully disinfected raw foods, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free meals, yogurt, granola, tofu, breads, pastries, desserts, peanut butter, marmalades, etc. are created with thought and love. Dietary restrictions are taken into consideration.

You can enjoy meals in the Dining Room or, enjoy a bit of solitude in the Guest Lounge dining room reading, playing the piano or simply taking time out to relax. Both have a fabulous ocean/jungle view.

“La Palapa” Bar offers original and traditional homemade recipes using fresh ingredients from the farm. A selection of wines and a variety of liquors are also available.

The “El Santuario” spa has a natural clay and volcanic rock face blending into the lush tropical jungle. The tranquil second-level treatment rooms have amazing views.

Mar de Jade is home to 3 Yoga Retreat Halls. The Bougainvillea Halls comfortably seats meditation groups of 60 or yoga groups of 40. The intimate third-floor Higuera Hall dance studio is a good choice for dance or NIA workshops or a workshop of 20 yoga practitioners. If you prefer being under the sky yoga, dancing, wedding ceremonies, etc. can be held in the Outdoor Terrace surrounded by colorful tropical flowers, again with an ocean view.

For 15+ years Mar de Jade has offered a Meditation Zen Retreat twice yearly with Zoketsu Norman Fischer, Everyday Zen Foundation. As well, monks from the Dharma Drum Mountain in Taiwan offer a yearly Meditation Ch’an Retreat based on Venerable Master Sheng Yen`s Silent Illumination teachings.

The Front Desk staff will suggest and schedule Eco-excursions and Cultural Activities with local co-ops and providers in Chacala, Mexico.
