Cheryl and Frank Dutill, owners/proprietors of Las Palmas Maya, quit their day jobs and headed south from the U.S. to realize their dream of opening a small hotel ‘somewhere’ in the tropics. They fell in love with the culture and climate of Quintana Roo and established Las Palmas Maya. It wasn’t long before their friend Tomas boarded a southbound plane with his puppies in tow and took on the role of Manager.

Las Palmas Maya has invested in a new diesel generator/battery system so their lucky guests have access to electricity 24/7. As well, the pressure pump is turned every day between 5 & 8 p.m. Mexican time. (All the hotels in the Tulum Beach Zone are off the grid).
